Meet Newton Buckley

Newton Buckley is a 1962 graduate of Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas, where he received a BBA in Accounting. He obtained his Certified Public Accountancy Certificate in 1969.

After working in the Accounting Department of Dresser Industries and Varo in Garland for several years, he and his family moved to Allen, Texas, where he opened his doors to Newton Buckley CPA in 1972. Over the years, the firm has grown as Allen has grown.

Newton is a member of the American Institute of CPAs, the Texas Society of CPAs, and the Dallas Chapter of CPAs.

Newton and his wife Monna are members of First Baptist Church in Allen, Texas. In his spare time, he loves to golf. If you challenge him to a game of golf, I'm sure he'd be happy to comply?

Betsy

OFFICE MANAGER

Betsy started working for our firm in 1996 where she has served in various positions over the years including receptionist, administrative assistant, bookkeeper and currently office manager. Her 20+ years of experience in Quickbooks, bookkeeping and tax preparation have given her the expertise to help clients with excellent service.

She married her husband Rodney in 1995 and they have 2 children who keep her busy. She is actively involved in children's ministry and worship at her church. She loves working with our clients and helping them out in any way she can.

Huichao

ACCOUNTANT/CPA

Huichao received her masters degree from UT Dallas in 2014, majoring in accounting and soon after graduation started working at Newton Buckley CPA. After two years of active practice in public accounting she obtained her CPA license. Since that time Huichao has also become a Certified Quickbooks Advisor.

Huichao is dedicated to helping clients in preparing tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships and trust and exempt organizations. She also specializes in bookkeeping and compilation and review of financial statements.

Heather

JUNIOR ACCOUNTANT

Heather joined our team in 2020 as a Junior Accountant after achieving a Bachelors of Accounting Degree from the University of Texas at Dallas. She is continuing her education to earn a Masters of Accounting with UTD and aspires to become a CPA.

Her greatest privilege is raisng her daughter, Hailey, and proving through example of hard work and determination that she can also achieve all of her heart's desires. Heather has a passion for tax, adores singing, enjoys adventures, values spending time with family and friends and loves learning. An inspiring quote she lives by is "Dreams and dedication are a powerful combination" by William F. Longgood.

Bethany

ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT

Bethany joined our team in 2020 and has enjoyed greeting clients and meeting new ones. She loves learning new skills as Newton’s assistant and likes helping our clients and the team in any way she can.

She was born and raised in Texas and is the youngest of 5 girls. Of her many hobbies what she enjoys the most is spending time with family and helping with kids’ ministry and choir at her church. She has always had a special love for animals and hopes to help in animal rescue. One of her greatest desires in life is to share God’s love to the world. She can’t wait to see what else is in store for her as she is part of our team at Newton Buckley, CPA

Katie

RECEPTIONIST

Katie joined the team at Newton Buckley, CPA in 2023. She is the first person you talk with when you call in and the first friendly face to greet you when you drop by. She graduated from Oklahoma State University in 2020 with a bachelor's in general mathematics.

Before coming to Newton Buckley, CPA she worked for a college ministry, helping students learn to follow the Lord. She is a Christian and strives to have God at the center of her life and to help others do the same. Katie was born and raised in Allen, Texas and moved back here to be closer to her family. she is a big lover of sports and family and one of her favorite things to do is go to sporting events with them.

Penny

TAX PREPARER/ENROLLED AGENT/TECH SUPPORT

Penny received her bachelor of science degree from Kennesaw State University, majoring in Math Education. She has been working as a bookkeeper for 40 years and doing taxes for 15. In addition to her accounting skills she is a certified Microsoft Engineer. Penny recently received her Enrolled Agent certification for tax preparation.

Penny is an active member of her church serving in many areas over the years including teaching scripture study, directing the choir, and playing the organ and piano.

Community service is also important to Penny. For 5 years she served as the director of Special Olympics in her community. She has also enjoyed helping seniors through delivering meals on wheels and the community MyRide program.
